Chain Lengths

A beautiful sunrise variscite stone in green and brown hues sits above a cedar square cross.  The cross in Osage design represents the four winds.  Cedar is one of my ancestor's sacred plants. It represents a long life.

Select your choice of sterling silver chain lengths before purchasing.  The last photo shows 18-inch, 24-inch, and 30-inch lengths available.  Can also be purchased with no chain.  

Materials

I created the cedar cross in fine silver (99.9% pure silver). All other silver portions are sterling silver (92.5% silver). Stone is a sunrise variscite. Variscite is a hydrated aluminum phosphate mineral. It is a relatively rare phosphate mineral. It is often confused with turquoise.

Pendant measures approximately 2" x 1 1/4".

Care information

Your order will come with a polishing cloth to touch up your jewelry pieces. I oxidize (tarnish) and polish the highlights of most of my jewelry pieces to bring out the texture of the prairie grasses and wildflowers. This oxidation will come off if polished with the cloth. When polishing pieces, polish only the raised surfaces to keep the dark oxidation.

With the variscite, avoid ultrasonic cleaners and heat steamers. Heat can damage the stone. Do not let sit out in the sun.
